Welcome! I am a 55 year old male amateur astronomer who’s interests in this hobby have wandered and changed over the years. Lately it has been the field of Cultural Astronomy that has piqued my curiosity and consumed most of my free, waking hours. Cultural astronomy covers all interdisciplinary fields that relate to astronomical systems of current and/or ancient societies and cultures. These include Archaeoastronomy, Ethnoastronomy, Historical Astronomy, History of Astronomy and History of Astrology. In short, I am on a quest to understand how our ongoing relationship with the sky has shaped us and continues to shape us into the wonderful, diverse people we are.
