Welcome! I am a 57 year old male amateur astronomer who enjoys visual astronomy but my primary interest is in the field of Cultural Astronomy. Cultural astronomy covers all interdisciplinary fields that relate to astronomical systems of current and/or ancient societies and cultures. These include Archaeoastronomy, Ethnoastronomy, Historical Astronomy, History of Astronomy and History of Astrology. In short, I am on a quest to understand how our ongoing relationship with the sky has shaped us and continues to shape us into the wonderful, diverse people we are.
